Avoid the HP Officejet Pro L7780 All-in-One Printer Fax Copy Scanner

Another problem from Day 1 — Digital Filing.

The feature is: You can scan from the printer and it’s automatically saved in a folder on your computer.

I had HP tech support CONTROLLING MY COMPUTER and they could never get it to work.

Now, a year later and with my 4th (or is it 5th) printer, I can get it to work… AND I’ve found a bug:

If you press the Digital Filing button, it works fine. But if you press the Scan button and select  Save To Computer (which then prompts you to save to the shared folder), you’ll get an error.

Oh, brother.
